The APAS Show, the biggest event worldwide in the supermarket sector as well as the biggest food and drink tradeshow in Latin America, closed its´2019 edition last month in May. Compared to 2018, the number of visitors increased by 23.8%, reaching 106,557 professional visitors, with 847 entrepreneurial exhibitors.
According to Ronaldo dos Santos, president of the São Paulo Association for Supermarkets – Associação Paulista de Supermercados (APAS), “these numbers are robust, revealing that this is a strong sector”. Under the theme “SuperHack: Hacking the Supermarket”, the organization focused on several debates in order to find new forms of innovation, alternatives and models to make the daily routine of food sector shops much easier.
A communication channel, which is also integrated with the Ferneto Group’s philosophy, under the motto: “we speak bakish”. The attentive commercial representative, distinctive technical follow-up, the development of solutions that meet our clients’ expectations, and above all our clients’ final consumer, are the core qualities that identify our brand.
From the 6th to the 9th of May, we had the opportunity to sound out the market; after speaking to various partners from different quadrants – clients, potential clients, suppliers, consultants, business partners, and friends, …– to better understand the challenges the sector is facing, and, this way, enhance our commitment in contributing pro-actively to the bakery and confectionary sectors’ growth, inside and outside supermarkets
