School is an organization with a fundamental role. It transmits knowledge, prepares its assets for the future and contributes to the transformation of a new society. The wide importance that school has, for itself and for institutions, companies and other agents, encourages the creation of new paths, new synergies and new ways of working.
Since the 12th century, the classroom has been the main means of education and higher learning. However, it is not the only existing space, and in some situations it contains practical limitations for students, especially in dynamic economies and competitive labor markets, where new jobs and new forms of work have emerged.
And so, it is also in “company rooms” that a lot can be learned, where there is a reality prepared for the practical component of training, for learning by doing and for making mistakes… to expressly get hands-on and innovate for the future.
Indeed, companies have a relevant role in the training of students. And it is in this formative stage that both companies and students can enjoy a unique opportunity.
Students benefit from close and practical guidance, which is essential for their role in the labor market and career development. Companies, in turn, can take the opportunity to “freshen up” their structure by exposing them to new knowledge, motivations and the different perspectives and challenges that new generations can bring. In short, together, they can create conditions to facilitate integration and anticipate the learning curve that any employee has when joining a company.
And it has been in this format that Ferneto has also been working with the Escola Profissional de Aveiro, involving young students in the company’s activities and supporting them in their professional projects, in a recipe that we believe will be beneficial to everyone. In order to express this intention, the Professional School of Aveiro and Ferneto, through their representatives Jorge de Almeida Castro and Vítor Santos, signed a collaboration protocol on May 14th, at our premises.
To the entire team at the Professional School of Aveiro, we recognize all the work and partnership developed and thank you for the “gift” through the video summary of this day. We hope that we all continue to learn, day after day.
