But it´s the truth. The famous Pastel de Belém and Pastel de Nata lead the TasteAtlas guide, in the pastry category.
TasteAtlas is a world guide or encyclopedia, which brings together traditional gastronomy, restaurants, and local ingredients with more than 10,000 references.
In an evaluation of the best pastry in the world, Pastel de Belém obtains a score of 4.9 out of 5, followed by the Pastel de Nata with 4.8.
But the Portuguese pastry registers two more presences in this world ranking:
- Bola de Berlin, which occupies the 26th position, with 4.5 points, in the pastry category;
- Pão-de-Ló, which occupies the 26th position, with 4.5 points, in the cake category.
