In the political and economic context, we live in, energy efficiency is vital.
In 2023, the European Union defined energy efficiency a strategic priority, setting a new objective of reducing annual primary energy consumption by 38% until the year 2030.
What is energy efficiency in equipment after all?
In simple terms, it consists of the ability of equipment to perform the functionality for which it was designed, to perform work, consuming the least amount of energy possible.
To acquire efficient equipment, several aspects are considered necessary, namely:
- Electric Power appropriate to the desired production – the installed power is not necessarily the power consumed. Therefore, under scaling equipment power is not an efficient solution – on the contrary;
- Three-Phase Electric Motors IE3 or higher – motors whose construction allows premium efficiency;
- Electronic Frequency Variation – the use of EFV’s allows intelligent management of electrical power, depending on the applied load and use of the IE3 engine;
- Efficient mechanical transmission – an efficient electrical system is of no use if the system mechanically causes significant losses.
At Ferneto, we integrate energy efficiency structurally into the equipment we develop and manufacture, an example being the Ferneto spiral mixers.
