The 24th of June this year was a different sort of day at our factory… plenty of joy and good feelings helped us through our morning at work.
Two groups of curious youngsters from the São Bartolomeu and Carvalhais kindergartens, in Coimbra, visited our premises to learn a bit more about bread…
They spent some time in the bakery to see how a factory works, remembered some of the ingredients required for baking bread, discovered some of the functionalities of Ferneto’s equipment, and couldn’t wait to get their hands stuck into the dough with plenty of energy.
Decked out for the occasion, under the auspices of Mr. Ernesto Fernandes and Fernetinho , with their sights firmly set on the dough, the youngsters proved that there’s a lot to be said about being a baker. You need to pay a lot of attention, be ready for any eventuality, and always act very responsibly.
With plenty of enthusiasm and concentration, the young apprentices made some delicious biscuits, which filled the factory with that delicious freshly baked smell.
Ferneto would like to thank all the new bakers from Coimbra and the teachers who came along with them on the day, as well as the São Bartolomeu and Carvalhais kindergartens, for their visit and good humour.
